Competitive Development for U8–U12 Players

Our Academy Program offers a competitive, development-focused environment for players ages U8–U12. Designed to match young athletes with others of similar age and skill, the program blends high-quality training, league competition, and year-round development to help players reach their full potential.

What to Expect

• Competitive Play
  Academy teams compete in the United Development League (UDL) and other South Carolina Youth Soccer Association (SCYSA) leagues, facing well-matched opponents primarily within the Columbia Metro Area and surrounding regions.
• Game Schedule: 10–20 games per season
• Travel: Mostly local (within 1 hour), with occasional regional tournaments
• Professional Training
• 2–3 weekly practices led by licensed, background-checked coaches
• Weekly technical training with Coerver Carolinas, a nationally recognized development partner
• Focus on individual skill-building, tactical understanding, and love for the game

Evaluations & Team Placement

Player evaluations are held twice a year — May and December/January — and are completely free of charge. These sessions help coaches determine each player’s developmental fit.

• Team placement depends on roster space and coaching availability. If we’re unable to place a player, we’ll help connect you with other local options.
